Women in Agile Conference 2018

Back for its third consecutive year, we’re hosting a half-day workshop/conference on Sunday, August 5, 2018 (the day before the Agile2018 conference) in San Diego, CA. Click here to register.

We will start with a keynote by April Wensel, an international speaker and the founder of Compassionate Coding, a social enterprise that’s bringing emotional intelligence and social consciousness to the software industry through training and coaching.

The remainder of the program will create an avenue empowering attendees to take individual and group action through collaborative workshops, and targeted networking. These activities will provide a sustainable learning environment with actionable outcomes able to be implemented immediately to further expand our community.

Continued from last year, we will provide the opportunity for new voices in the agile community to be heard by including three short talks on the program agenda. Are you interested? Please submit a talk idea!

Submissions are due by May 15, 2018. Notifications soon after. June 1st will be a kickoff with the three proteges and the three mentors.

Last year, the program gave three women a chance to speak on the national stage for the first time, and if you’d like more information on their experience, please check out these blog posts from Linda Podder, Susan Marricone and Joanna Vahlsing.

All genders are welcome, and men, if you’re looking for a reason to attend the event, Chris Murman shares his thoughts in this post.

We hope you’re able to join us, click here for more information.
